Study Abroad Counselor

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, student-focused Study Abroad Counselor to join our growing team. The counselor will guide students through the entire overseas education process — from selecting the right course and institution to assisting with application procedures, visa documentation, and pre-departure guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel students on international education options (universities, courses, career pathways).
• Understand the academic and career goals of students and recommend suitable programs and institutions accordingly.
• Assist students throughout the admission process, including application submissions, documentation, and follow-ups with universities.
• Provide detailed guidance on visa processes, financial documentation, and interview preparation.
• Maintain updated knowledge about admissions policies, visa rules, scholarships, and destination countries (USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Europe, etc.).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and partner universities.
• Conduct seminars, webinars, and information sessions at schools, colleges, and the office as needed.
• Maintain records of student cases and track their progress using CRM tools.
• Meet assigned targets for student enrollments and conversions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of counseling strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-3 years of experience in study abroad counseling or a related field (freshers with excellent communication skills may also be considered).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with students and families.
• Familiarity with student visa processes for key study destinations.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable with digital platforms (CRM systems, email communication, video counseling tools).
• Self-driven with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with destinations like USA, Canada, UK, Australia.
• Certification or formal training in Counseling or Career Guidance.
• Knowledge of education loans and scholarships.
• Familiarity with English exam requirements like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE.
